In 2001 TEC Solutions Concepts Inc. was founded by three experts with over sixty years of experience in the security industry. The goal, from the beginning, has been to find security solutions tailored for each client, that truly fit their needs.
The company started out in customized access control and continues to specialize in that field today. In fact, TEC Solutions has been proud to represent the CyberLock access control system for twenty years as a platinum-level partner. Back in 2004 New York City’s Metropolitan Transit Authority urgently needed to find a way to secure 100 entrance points around Madison Square Garden, where the Republican National Convention was being held. They turned to TEC Solutions, who installed a wireless, powerless access control system that helped protect the iconic venue – in four days.
The MTA’s system has grown exponentially, as has TEC Solutions, securing everything from small offices to power grids and other big installations and government entities. And, while it has a strong presence throughout the Northeast, its customers now range across the country and international borders. That expansion has also been reflected in the different approaches and product lines that the company now pursues as well.
TEC Solutions has used its engineering and software design expertise to develop additional products, such as secure video and communications equipment. What started with the security center video IP phone, has branched out into creating customized, ADA compliant intercoms and software development, among other things. It is a guiding principle of one of its founders to always be looking for new ways to innovate and invent disruptive technology.
